Jacqueline (Athens, 1989) is a writer/director whose work revolves around unconventional family constructs, coming-of-age, intimacy and the dream. She is a London Film School graduate (Distinction, 2013), a Sarajevo (2014) and Berlinale (2015) Talents alumna. Her graduation project, Thirteen Blue, screens in several international film festivals and wins, among others, Best International Short in Athens Film&Video FF getting shortlisted for the Oscar nomination. Her semi-feature’ s script, FOX, was selected in Berlinale’s Short Film Station 2015 and was developed with Pavel Jech. The film world premieres in Locarno International Film Festival (2016) winning Best International Short from Cinema&Gioventu Jury. Until now, FOX has won multiple awards worldwide including Best Short from Panhellenic Critics ‘Association, as well as the prestigious award in the memory of Ingmar Bergman. HIWA, completed with the support of Athens International Film Festival, world premieres in Berlin International Film Festival (2017). Jacqueline’s debut feature script SELENE66 gets selected in Torino Film Lab’s Script&Pitch program and is developed with the guidance of Razvan Radulescu. In the networking event held in Torino, she wins the development fund award from CNC, among 22 projects. In 2017 she is invited by Vienna Shorts as Artist in Spotlight where a retrospective of her work is held. The same year, she is invited to represent Greece in the special edition of Locarno Filmmakers’Academy. Moreover, she is also selected to participate in Toronto International Film Festival’s Talent Lab. She has just completed her latest short film HECTOR MALOT: THE LAST DAY OF THE YEAR, presented at the Cannes’ Critics Week.
